Featuring the sensual tango dance and music of Astor Piazzolla & Raul Jaurena

“Is the Bandoneon a living creature? It may seem so…in the hands of a skilled musician it starts to grumble and whine, to breathe and to sing its heart out. Few people can play it like Raul Jaurena – he literally embraces it and elicits from it the whole range of emotions that his unique instrument is able to evoke.”

Uruguayan-born tango champion Raúl Jaurena joins Camarada musicians Beth Ross Buckley, flute & Dave Buckley, violin for an all-new tango for trio program featuring NYC-Argentinian tango dancers Carolina & Juan Alessandrini. Jaurena earned much deserved praise from colleague (and roommate) Astor Piazzolla – the Argentinian tango icon.  Join us for some hot off the press tango creations!
